Who is a wife?

Who is a wife? Looking at this scripture carefully, He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord (Proverbs18:22 NIV). From the above scripture, God didn't say he who finds a woman to marry finds a good thing, rather he said he that finds a wife. The wisdom in this verse, clearly distinguish a woman from a wife. it takes natural birth to be a female, physical development to be a woman, but it takes maturity to be a wife, which comes as a result of real spiritual, mental and moral development.


 A wife is a personality, a profile, character and qualities. The wife is beyond the altar, it is a person, it is a personality you find in a woman. A wife is the express manifestation of the character of God's goodness in a woman to a man. By birth she became a female and by personal development she became a wife, she develops herself into becoming a wife, it is a mindset, a believe system that translates into a character. A wife and not a woman found is a good thing, because she is favor, blessing obtained from the Lord. A wife is a source of favor, rest and blessing to her husband's life, because she is a carrier of God's grace to make things work. A wife is someone who by the virtue of her personal relationship with God and his word, have come into the awareness of who she is, what she carries and her direction in life, having found her place in a husband's vision and destination in life, believes in it, willing to make the necessary commitments, offering the needed support to make it a reality.

A wife is a symbol of progress, promotion, success, achievements, exploits, greatness, oneness, productivity, and prosperity, she is someone who knows who she is and the quality of what she got to offer to help him become the express manifestation of who God has made him, so become hers, this is why her price is far above rubies. A wife looks for a vision (place) that fits in the direction God is taking her to in life, where she can unleash her full potential to make it succeed, she is more concerned about where she is going than the now.

A wife is that woman who has seen your vision and quality, and is willing to be a part of it, actively involved in it to make happen, having the right mindset, motive, character, potential, heart and training to make it work, this why she is a builder. A wife sees in him, the wealth of deposit and substance that the man can't even see, with a willingness to submit herself to building the reality as one. Your wife is the one who sees herself in your God given purpose and vision (future), what you are becoming, that is beyond the now and she is willing to be a part of it, as a builder to make it a success, who can help you get to God's destined end for your life.

A wife sees beyond your now, even if you are comfortable in the now, she is more concerned about where you going with God ten, twenty, thirty years from now. Her life is a journey, just like Sarah, it must be purposeful.
