It was Friday morning, the second day of the second week in January, at about 10:00am, rose the unanticipated, which left so many in dire confusion, as the big bully suddenly gave up its place, to the horror of a fighting thick gray cloud, which immediately painted the charming face of the beautiful sky dark. The power of the day was intensely up so bright in the sky, the perceived bully, which no one could look directly in the face. With its great strength, radiated the beautifully laid out sky, like a transparent curtain, arrayed in fine white color, accommodated in its shining blue background.
Just like the birthing of a monster, the sound of world war three presumed looming, the casting of its shadow, as the works of the friendly ocean when aggrieved saw the brightness within my bedroom swallowed up, when my passionate soul sailed deeply into the inspiration of my favorite author, which had my head dug in his latest work.My absorbing heart so clued to the oozing insights and gushing revelations, like a newly wedded couple caved in the bliss of sweet love. How on earth could my attention, be so swiftly drawn away, from the nectar I was enjoying, to the just happened exchange within my bedroom and entire neighborhood, puzzled my imagination, later that day, as the dark cloud gave way to its wrath, the persistent rain pouring down so heavily like judgment day.
Struck with this horrifying impact so felt, my heart loosing focus in fear, caught up with the unexpected. My mind beaten down with sudden confusion, had my head curiously stood swift erect , sharply staring directly to my window, gave reflections of flashes a lodge within my eyes, as the rays from the lightening hits hard the glass window. The sudden effect, my hands couldn’t bear, immediately drove down to the floor the book i was reading, then stood i up from the couch in my bedroom, to switch the light on.
Groping in the dark, sounds of thunderstorm, flashes of lightening, sounds of sudden rain, lead my feet closer and my hands reaching for the switch, which lodged on my screed wall.
‘’kpa’’, the funny sound went, within me sorrowed my dashed hope as the unresponsive electric bulb kept my head wondering what must had gone wrong , maybe with the bulb or the switch.
Home alone in this horror I fearfully thought, this added wheels to my frightful steps as I quickly wondered my way back to the reading table, light is life another thought voiced within me, rising through the midst of many waters that engulfed my mind.
My hands pacing through the table like the blindfolded, stepping forward a bit, this sharp pain felt so suddenly, forced open wide my mouth, and my voice gone blow alongside , ‘’what the heck’’, I shouted with frustration. It was my feet that just collided with the dumbbell; I had brought earlier from the Gym room to our bedroom, following my morning workout routine. The sigh of frustration, pushed my hands forward with determination, feeling the torchlight with my hands, thank you Lord, accompanied my slight relief.
Room lite with life, as the power from the torchlight went out of rest, though not like the feeling from electricity, but the light was manageable to navigate my way through the sudden darkness. Then I headed straight for the living room downstairs, where i crashed into the worse. to be continued...
