Between the man and woman, who needed a companion? Genesis 2:18, And the Lord God said, it is not good that a man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. God saw a need for the woman, because he saw it wasn't good that the man should be alone. Man being alone created a vacuum, that the woman alone could fill, man was already carrying out God's assignment for his life, when the need for a help meet came.
Someone suitable for him to relate with, share his plans, ideas, visions, victories, success with, that totally believed in him. You won't be sharing your plans and ideas with someone that has no capacity, ability, passion, interest, faith or in position to help you achieve them through contribution, appreciating, gifting, inspiration, motivation and initiative. The woman came into a unique role in the program of God for man's life, to help turn the man's dream into reality, purpose into fruition.
The Hebrew word help meet is "ezer kenegdo" ezer is help, which means strength, rescue, support in the context of vitally important and powerful acts. The word Kenegdo means suitable, help meet in other words means a suitable support and strength for the man, this the man was lacking made it not good before God, that he should be alone. If I needed help from someone, then I would need someone of equal strength or above my strength, this was the role the woman fitted into. This was why the bible said he that findeth a wife finds a good thing and obtains a blessing, favour from the Lord. This why God said a wise woman builds her home.
God has greatly equipped, empowered her for this role, this was one reason God took time into making the woman. This form of help does not mean auxiliary, it means showing to somebody how better he could do something that needed be done, in other words you must be seeing beyond what he sees. So the woman was naturally created with the gift of observation to spot where the work was going wrong while the man worked and quickly come to his rescue to fix it, or do it better. She was created to complete him, and make his work result oriented. If the woman was created for such a unique role, then she was a need, to be welcomed, listened to and sincerely appreciated.
Her role was to help him reach where God has planned for him, live to his full potential, become all God has made him and fulfil his purpose and destiny. Her intelligence, knowledge, wisdom, initiative, grace, anointing, soundness of mind, education, ideas was met to help you. In Proverbs 31 ,the bible says her husband also, and he praiseth her, a woman is one who can help you get to where you going and not a subject or subordinate.
