Her Price

 

 who is a wife? Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies (proverbs 31:10), other versions used this an excellent woman, a woman of noble character, a woman of worth, a virtuous and capable wife, a worthy woman, a valiant woman, a woman of valour, a wife of strong character and a diligent woman. The ASV, "a worthy woman who can find for her price is far above rubies". we don't become worthy overnight, being worthy means we have done something different from others, that classes our worth above all.



 Considering the vital and sensitive position a wife occupies in a man's life, i will want to paraphrase, a "wifely woman who can find, for her worth and value is far above material things, she isn't measured by perishable things but by the content of her personality. When the bible says. in proverbs 31:11, one version says, her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value, another says ,she will greatly enrich his life, another he will have no lack of gain, the King James says, the heart of her husband does safely trust in her, so that he will have no need of spoil. Trust is a symbol of love, an act of consecration in totality, which is to love someone without any reservation giving your all in show of appreciation, because her character of sincerity has won his heart and appreciation.Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate (Proverbs31;31 NIV).

If women know how powerful they are to this world and in a man's life, she won't waste her time chasing diamonds in gold container, rather she will invest her time, developing and building the wifely virtue and character in her to attract the right man. One quality of a wife is faith, a woman can look in the now but a wife sees beyond the now, she has the ability to see a future in the man's work and commitment, she is a grace that comes upon his life to make his gold pure. What attracts a wife to his right is work, work is not same as job, work is purpose, what you are becoming, what you were born to do, and she brings her capacity upon it to make it explode and fruitful, this is what commands the husband's praise. a wife seeks a vision, a place and life with direction where she can function, where she can uncover, express her potentials and be cherished, celebrated, nourished esteemed, honored, appreciated in her life time to her utmost joy and happiness. our value and worth is in the quality of what we have to offer, the character we deliver it through and the impact it makes.

 The first interest of a wife is where are you going in life? what are you working on? because she wants to know how she fits in and how she can contribute to it, secondly is the mindset and character of the man she will be working with the rest of her life. A wife is one who wants to build great things together with the husband others can celebrate. It takes faith, courage, humility like Sarah to see where he is going to want to be part of it, this act of participation is a form of submission, so what vision is she submitting, to be a part of that will bring out the best and glory in her, where she can grow and be all that God has made her? Your wife is the one who sees where you going beyond the now and who believes in you so much that she wants to take her place to help you get there, she is the one who believes in your work, what you working on, that she sees it as the right medium to fully express her potentials, and when you find her, simply because she is in your life for how she can help you get to your destination, this you found one that her price is far above rubies, this you can trust, this is a help meet. men of vision seek a wife and not a woman to marry.
